This Working group will deal with the role of non-native tree species as relevant for a sustainable provision of goods and services. It will strongly focus on forest management issues addressing (i) biodiversity, (ii) nature conservation and (iii) production issues (biomass and timber) and will deal with the adaptation potential of non-native tree species to climate change. The growth performance (growth models) will be reviewed and collected management practices will be assessed as they are relevant for estimating biomass production and timber quality.

Key mission
Compile information on management practices and experiences with non-native tree species and management models which allow for an integrated multifunctional forest ecosystem management approach - relevant for the sustainable provision of goods and services.
